Hi everyone!

We’ve been a little absent from giving you updates on what has been going on with our organization, but rest assured, we are back and to tell you the truth… a lot has happened!

On July 31st, we wrapped up our fundraising campaign with Jessica Tanoesoedibjo #beginningofhope. In total, the campaign raised over IDR500 million for three social organizations, TeenCov19, Terartai and our organization, ABILITAS.ID.

ABILITAS.ID received IDR240 million from the joint campaign which we have spent to do renovation work at our partner schools, purchase school facilities, distribute food packages to students and teachers who are financially impacted by COVID-19, and fund vocational trainings for kids with disabilities (more on this on future articles!). Currently, ABILITAS.ID has six partner schools located in Lombok and Mataram. These schools manage students with all types of physical disabilities such as deaf, blind, mental disabilities, and many others.

We will spend the IDR240 million proceeds we received in two phases. We have completed phase one of our fundraising budget allocation and we want to share with all of you how we have used this resources to help the schools and the children!

Donation to SLBN 1 Mataram

On June 6th , we distributed food packages to students and teachers at SLBN 1 Mataram in West Nusa Tenggara; as well as, transportation aids to assist teachers who have been commuting to students’ homes during this COVID-19 pandemic (more on this here), and general school facilities.

Donation to SLB YTPN, SLB Asy-Syifa and SLB Muhammadiyah Kelayu

On Saturday June 27th,  we visited SLB YTPN, SLB Asy-Syifa and SLB Muhammadiyah Kelayu in Lombok. Similar to the previous relief program, we also distributed food packages, transportation aids, and general school facilities.

We currently have around IDR161 million for the next phase. We will begin the next phase of our fundraising budget allocation in [September] which we are very excited to share with you soon! If you are one of those people who participated in this campaign together with Jessica Tanoesoedibjo, thank you! Thank you for trusting us with your resources. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without your support!
